How we work

The UNPA Model (MUNPA) is based on three clearly structured pedagogical stages.

Introduction

The Model introduces participants to foundational ideas such as global citizenship, global governance and the importance of solving world problems.

Through a global approach, participants can understand how to implement a Parliamentary Assembly in the United Nations.

Parliamentary Committees

Each simulation model is based around a chosen global theme. Participants are divided into parliamentary committees to simulate debating and formation of bills to address the global theme.

Parliamentary Session

Finally, assigned participants present their bills on behalf of their committees. Through a simulating voting process, the main winning bill is chosen.
